For anyone who watches golf, they obviously are connected with the use of the golf tee. The main reason for this is because they see many professional golfers using the tee, and with this small piece of wood, their shots seemingly are perfect. However, there are various techniques to using your golf tee to gain a better overall swing. Yet, if you do not use your golf tee properly, you will not experience the desired results. But what are the proper ways to use your golf tee? Golf swing tips will tell you that the length of the tee completely depends on the type of golf club you are going to use. Whenever you use the driver club, make sure that the tee is sticking out the ground to allow the ball to rest ½” taller than your driver. By doing this, you will be able to land a perfect hit on the ball. The angle at which your driver will strike the ball will give the ball the perfect opportunity for maximum height and distance. Having the ball and tee at this height will be the most frequently used technique. However, if you are fighting against the wind, or want a lower overall ball flight than you will want to lower the height of the tee. Having the ball rest right above the grass surface will provide you with the perfect backspin, which will give the ball maximum distance, as well as a soft landing on the grass. Having a soft landing is extremely important if you are closer to the hole, and don’t want to risk a bouncing ball, which may bounce completely off course.
Hitting your golf ball perfect is the result of several different techniques and tools all working together for one main goal. The golf tee is the last of these tools that allows you the perfect angle and opportunity for a perfect hit. The beginner golfer is always surprised to discover that the way you position your golf tee has a major factor in how your golf ball will react to your shot. By placing the tee too low on a driver will cause extreme negative affects. The same is true if you place the tee too high off of the grass. In order to obtain the perfect shot, you must first ensure you are using the proper club, establishing a good swinging tempo and lastly, use the golf tee for your advantage.
